Sportitude has reopened its Fullarton store with new fit and search technology.
The newly refurbished store includes an evaluation treadmill designed for beginner and intermediate runners.
The fitting tool has a large, synchronized digital screen that uses a 3D camera and a “force plate” to capture specific, highly detailed running movements.
GM Josh Willoughby said the data generated will help staff provide personalized shoe recommendations.
“Sportitude (previously known as Joggers World) was the first location in South Australia to offer video gait analysis. Sportitude Fullarton is the only store in the Southern Hemisphere using this technology.
“Having innovative technology to help our customers find their perfect fit is very important to us.”
A new touchscreen with search tools has also been introduced to help customers access product selection and relevant local healthcare professionals such as podiatrists and physical therapists.
In conjunction with the store refurbishment, Sportitude Fullarton has launched a brand new school rewards program offering discounts to selected schools and donations to sports programs.
Sportitude Fullarton also invited local sports groups to use its stores for conferences, workshops and other social events.
Guest speakers and catering can also be booked in the space, confirmed Abby Willoughby, general manager of Sportitude retail stores.
“At Sportitude, we believe it is very important to support the communities that support us: running, track and field, sports groups, local families and schools.
