A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the University of Huddersfield, the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) and the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) to facilitate academic cooperation among the three parties.

This collaboration will be conducted through the established International Clinical Practice Research Unit (ICPRU), a joint academic unit of the University and JUST and part of the University’s Center for Pharmacy and Drug Delivery Research.

Established in 2009, the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) has regional network headquarters in Jordan to strengthen public health systems, build regional capacity, foster cooperation, strengthen program planning and implementation, We focus on supporting decision-making based on Promotes health and well-being in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR).

EMPHNET extends its outreach to more than 15 countries, working with ministries of health, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, the private sector, and other public health agencies locally and globally to advance public health and applied epidemiology.
