Cleveland, Ohio (WOIO) – New season, new logo, new technology for fans inside FirstEnergy Stadium.
Rob McBurnett, director of community and corporate communications for the Cleveland Browns, said new change starts when you first set foot in it.
“This year’s Gate will be a different experience than Southgate. First, we want everyone to have access to Brown’s Express Access, which uses facial recognition,” said McBurnett. .
He said this new technology at the entrance will allow fans to get to their seats faster without having to use their mobile phones.
Here’s how it works. Instead of scanning each ticket, approach a tablet that instantly recognizes your face. One person can register multiple tickets.
Plus, getting through security just got easier. No need to take anything out of your pocket.
“A single look at the technology can identify all potential threats,” McBurnett said.
You may notice that there are several Cleveland Cold One stations around the stadium.
Jessica Jacobson said you can order by phone to skip the wait
“Just show your ID where you bought beer, water, and soda and you’re ready to go,” says Jacobson.
She also said they added these express lanes for food…you can checkout without scanning
“Literally pull a cold drink out of the cooler, go through this unit, instantly read, ring, insert your credit card, and go back to your seat,” says Jacobson.
More fun, more comfort, less worries, and hopefully the Browns win big over the Jets.
