Technip Energies – LG Chem has selected its own blue hydrogen technology to supply the composite in South Korea.
Blue H2 by T.ENTMs Hydrogen plants capture large amounts of carbon dioxide and reduce carbon dioxide emissions from petrochemical complexes. LG Chem plans to use recovered CO2.
56,000 Nm3The hourly capacity hydrogen plant utilizes Technip Energies’ proprietary steam reforming technology to convert the methane-rich off-gas from the naphtha cracking process to hydrogen. Hydrogen plants include selective catalytic reduction (SCR) units to control NO.X emissions.

The new hydrogen unit will be integrated with LG Chem’s Naphtha Cracking Complex (NCC), enabling LG Chem to transform its petrochemical pyrolysis complex into a more sustainable low-carbon process.
Loic Chapuis Technip Energies SVP Gas & Low Carbon Energies said:
We are pleased to work with LG Chem to decarbonize petrochemical complexes by incorporating our low-carbon hydrogen solution, BlueH.2 by T.ENTMs.
“Our technology has been proven to reduce carbon emissions by up to 99% and has the flexibility to be tailored for different industry applications.”
