Hangzhou, China–(business wire)– For the first time in history, a video security project developed by Dahua Technology was implemented in Antarctica. The company donated his 15 security cameras. These cameras were installed at the “White Continent” science station, allowing 24-hour footage and increased contact. Connect with scientists on the ground to improve your knowledge of local fauna and meteorology.

Dahua not only donated the device, but also developed it specifically for this project, considering it is a very cold and remote area with few connections. This new project fills an important need as the area has never had security cameras connecting the general base to the Argentine capital.

Engineer José Varas, BDM at Dahua Technology, said: .

This project is a closed circuit television (CCTV) solution that can handle extreme weather conditions. This will allow all cameras installed in Argentina’s Antarctic to be viewed in real time from an external screen at the Joint Antarctic Command, paving the way for a better understanding of scientific research in the region.

Sebastián Mirich, President of Mirich Electronic Security, said: , was responsible for the installation. “But the installation was successful, the camera works, and has survived the harsh and demanding Antarctic climate,” he added.

“In addition to increasing connectivity and showing more details about the activities that are taking place on the runway, such as various environmental studies and assessments of plant and animal growth, we also want to increase runway security every time a plane arrives. Julia Anschütz, MarCom Manager at Dahua Technology, added:

This project is key to supporting aggressive development and growth in regions that need it most. The project represents another step in his Dahua commitment to not only contribute to ecological research and sustainable development in Antarctica, but also to integrate digital intelligence technology into environmental protection, defense and development. .
